Jeff Garlin has been struggling with overweight from a young age. He said he used to eat a lot of sugary and junk foods which caused him to gain weight at a rapid speed.

Apart from the unhealthy diet, Jeff was never active he never performed any activity that can help him burn fat. When he was 37 years Jeff got a stroke and this was a wake-up call for him to start thinking about his health.

After getting better from the stroke Jeff Garlin decided to change his diet by eliminating junk and sugary foods from his diet. He also started being active doing some light exercises like walking, jogging, etc.

Jeff said in his book My footprint that Richard Simmons was his first fitness trainer, and he would do aerobics with a group of women with different body shapes.

Jeff Garlin started going to the gym and added weight training to aerobics. This helped him burn more excess calories which helped him lose weight.

Even Though there is speculation about Jeff Garlin having gastric bypass surgery for his weight loss, I have not found any convincing evidence that Jeff lost the weight naturally through doing exercises and eating healthy.
