Food. Richman has also been involved in other programs, such as “30 Days of Food” and “Travel Channel’s Best Eats

In early July 2014, Richman posted a picture of himself on Instagram with the caption

 “Had ordered this suit from a Saville Row tailor over a year ago. Think I’m going to need to take it in a little.” 

The picture received mixed comments, with some followers congratulating him on his weight loss and others accusing him of promoting an unhealthy body image.

On July 15, 2014, Richman posted an apology on Instagram for his earlier post. He wrote, “Yes. I’ve lost a lot of weight. I’ve been working hard and eating healthy and I’m proud of my accomplishment. I’m not ashamed of what I’ve done and I’m not trying to hide it. I’m not trying to be hypocritical.

I’m not perfect and I don’t want to be I’m just trying to be less selfish and more thoughtful. It’s not always easy, but I’m working on it. I’m trying to think about how my actions might affect other people, and how I can make things easier for them.

In early 2014, Adam Richman began a weight-loss journey that saw him lose more than 60 pounds (27kg). He achieved this by following a strict diet and exercise regimen. Richman has credited his weight loss to a combination of a paleo diet and Crossfit. 

In September 2014, Richman revealed that he had reached his goal weight and was now a size medium. He also announced that he would be taking a break from television in order to focus on his health.

We will be doing these exercises 3 to 4 days a week, focusing on the upper and lower bodies but on different days. For example If you workout your upper body on Monday then on Tuesday it will be your lower body. And remember to first warm up before starting this workout. Let’s get to it.

  • Crunch — 10–15 reps
  • Reverse crunch — 10–15 reps
  • Medicine ball push-up — 12 reps
  • Stability ball crunch — 12 reps
  • Stability ball climber — 12 reps for each leg
  • Plank — 30 seconds

Lower Body workout

  • Wide dumbbell squat — 10–12 reps
  • Forward lunge — 10–12 reps
  • Side lunge with a twist — 10–12 reps
  • Skater lunge — 10–12 reps
  • Stability ball leg curl — 10–12 reps
  • Cable lat pull-down — 10–12 reps
  • Dumbbell row — 10–12 reps

Adam Richman started by eliminating white flour and starches from his diet and worked with his doctor and nutritionist to develop a diet plan. Richman was put on a caloric restricted diet which included  100 calorie shakes and fiber-enriched tea.

He also included healthy protein like yogurt, lean meat, turkey jerky to his diet plus drinking a gallon of water every day.
