Despite his growing fame and fan base, Jimmy was going through a challenging moment and that was his overweight which was increasing day by day.

When he appeared on a red carpet event in 2018 with his daughter Bella Harris, Jimmy seemed to be overweight. But after a few months when he appeared again on the red carpet event of the Clive Davis pre-grammy party this time with his wife Lisa Padilla, his fans were shocked to see how slim he was. Basically, he was half of what he used to be 6 months ago he last appeared.

After seeing him like this, his fans started making different trends on social media giving out their different theories. Some wrote on social media saying that he must be fighting with some serious disease and it might be the reason for his weight loss.

But as all this was going on, his fellow musician Keith Sweat came out on May 2, 2019, and posted on his official Facebook page, and shared his thoughts on Jimmy Jam’s weight loss transformation. Well! The post received a serious number of comments.

A fan with a Facebook handle named Diane Alexander commented, “troubled about how Jimmy looked and hoped he was ok.” Another fan, Tony Mason commented on Jimmy’s appearance and said he looked different and great from what he used to look.

Jimmy Jam has never come out to clear the air about all these assumptions for his weight loss. He decided to keep his weight loss secrets to himself. So let’s just hope everything is fine.

To be honest, Jimmy is very secretive about his personal life so it was hard for me to find out how exactly he lost the weight. That is why there is a lot of assumptions among his fans about his life.

 But after his fans realized that he was not fighting any disease, some started speculating that maybe Jimmy went through a weight loss surgery that helped him lose weight at a high speed.

I decided to make some research about this but I never found any convincing evidence that Jimmy went through any surgery for his weight loss.

I think he just developed a strict routine that included a well-planned diet and workout that helped him shed off all the weight.

Since Jimmy Jam’s weight loss is an inspiration to a lot of people who want to lose weight, there isn’t much information on how he was able to do it. I have decided to list down some of the weight loss tips that can help lose weight easily. 

Never Skip Breakfast; If you skip breakfast that means you’re missing out on the essential nutrients. And this might cause you to binge eat during the day.

Eat Regular Meals; When you eat at a regular time during the day, your body burns more calories at a faster rate.

Eat a lot of Fruits and Veggies; These a low in calories and fats plus they are high in fiber. And these are the 3 essential ingredients to lose weight successfully.

Be More Active; Getting active is very important if you want to lose weight and keep it off. Doing some exercises can help burn the excess calories that you cannot lose through diet alone.

Take Plenty Of Water; Most people confuse thirst with hunger. So they end up consuming extra calories when a glass of water is all that you need.

Use smaller Plates; When you use a smaller plate you will eat small portions and this is how you will get used to eating smaller portions without going hungry.

Reduce On Alcohol; Consuming a lot of alcohol can easily cause weight gain because it contains a lot of calories. So it will be better if you cut down on it.

These are some of the tips I thought I should share with you and hopefully they will help you jump-start your weight loss journey. Who knows maybe even Jimmy jam used some of them.


Jimmy Jam weight loss has a lot of assumptions and he has never come out to tell his fans how exactly he did it. But what is most important is the inspiration when getting from his journey that it is possible to lose weight if you put your mind on it and are willing to follow all the necessary procedures involved.

But with all that has been said, if you’re planning to go on a weight loss journey, my advice to you would be to include some resistance training so that you can build some muscles instead of being skinny because people might start thinking that you’re fighting some disease as they assumed with Jimmy Jam.
